The silicone tape adheres only to itself so it is not dependent on the condition of the substrate, which can be a problem with conventional tapes. The upshot is it can also be processed on oily, wet and dirty substrates.
Ideal for instance for damage caused by martens on the radiator hose and repairs when the spare part is not in stock or the time schedule is full. That way, the customer can still use the vehicle until the next appointment.
